Arachnophilia

This is a yellow sac house spider. We found this spider crawling in our wall a few days ago. This spider belong to the genus Cheiracanthium and the famile Clubionidae. They are quite small - about 1/4 to 3/8 inch long, with no conspicuous markings. The front legs are longer than the other three pairs. This spider was small and a fast mover, so taking a photograph of it was very challenging.

Glass Balls

When we were in Florida, we stopped at this store near Islamorada. It was a very interesting store, they sell local shell products,  dried corals, etc. One thing that caught my eye was these blue and green glass ball decor hanged around the store.

Sunset in Mars

I was not a big fan of editing/enhancing photos until about 3 months ago. I used and still do believe that photos shouldn't be doctored and great photographs are products of the photographers creativity and skills. After learning a Nikon photo software, I started to look at photos with a different eye and now, I use the software a lot. I took this photo in Florida not in another planet.

Little Drummer Girl

We had a performance at the Hilltop Apartments at UConn last friday. I haven't been with my band for quite sometime now and I think the last time I performed with them was November of 2008. I took this picture while we were playing one of the songs from our set. Carissa is wearing one of our Ugandan skirts and playing the Namunjoloba with her dad.

Lonely Tree

This is what I see when I go to work everyday. Ky also likes the view and she thinks that vultures should be sitting in the branches of this tree. This lonely tree used to have leaves but it's dormant during winter.

New Passport

A few months ago, I renewed my passport and I learned that there's a lot of new changes with our Philippine passport. The cover used to be green and now its maroon. The main feature for the passport is it's machine readable but that's not my favorite feature. Once you open the book you will see this stamp.
